Collection: Home Hydrogen Water Generator

A home hydrogen water generator should produce verifiable molecular hydrogen without the maintenance burden of traditional water ionizer systems.

How a Home Hydrogen Water Generator Works

A home hydrogen water generator uses electrolysis to dissolve molecular hydrogen gas into regular water. The Lourdes Hydrofix uses separate-chamber electrolysis: hydrogen is produced in its own chamber, so your drinking water never directly contacts the electrodes, and the water stays pH neutral, within ±0.1 of the source water. You pour water into the 1.5 L pitcher, press start, and the molecular hydrogen water system dissolves hydrogen into the water in very fine bubbles, up to approximately 1.6 ppm. No installation required. No plumbing modifications. It plugs into a standard outlet through the included universal AC/DC adapter.

Dual Chamber Design vs Water Ionizer Systems

The Hydrofix is not a water ionizer. Ionizers change the pH of your water through electrolysis, and hydrogen is a byproduct. The Hydrofix is built only to dissolve molecular hydrogen: it uses a separate electrolysis chamber, keeps pH neutral, and gives you a dedicated source of hydrogen drinking water. This countertop hydrogen water machine sits on your kitchen counter, plugs into a standard outlet, and produces up to approximately 1.6 ppm dissolved hydrogen. Why Hydrogen Water Generator Purity Matters

Many hydrogen water bottles and machines list a hydrogen concentration but don't publish purity testing for the water they produce. The Hydrofix does. Japan Food Research Laboratories (JFRL), an accredited Japanese laboratory, tested the water produced by the Hydrofix: selected plasticizers (phthalates DEHP, DINP, DIDP), BPA, iron and titanium were not detected under test conditions, and the water meets Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare drinking-water quality standards. The electrodes are solid titanium, 99.928% pure, with the platinum catalyst bonded at the molecular level through high-temperature processing. There is no plating and no coating to wear off. Every unit is tested individually at the factory in Japan and ships with its own hydrogen concentration certificate. You get documentation, not marketing claims.

What 1.6 PPM Molecular Hydrogen Means

Hydrogen concentration is the number to compare, because dissolved molecular hydrogen is what a hydrogen water generator is built to deliver. The Hydrofix produces up to approximately 1.6 ppm (±0.05 ppm), which the product page calls full saturation. Output is stated as a maximum. Many bottles and countertop systems don't publish verified numbers at all. Higher isn't the whole story, but consistent, documented output is. That is why each Hydrofix ships with a concentration certificate tied to that specific unit. The machine includes a 12-month warranty.

Countertop Hydrogen Water Machine Setup

You don't need a plumber or a water purifier modification. The Hydrofix works with tap, well, filtered, mineral, spring, alkaline, reverse osmosis or distilled water, but not saltwater or seawater. Fill the 1.5 L pitcher, press start, and the machine handles hydrogen generation. One pitcher fits the suggested use of 1–2 pitchers a day. When the cycle completes, drink it fresh. Hydrogen gas leaves water over time, so fresh is best.

Simple Maintenance, One Cartridge a Year

The Hydrofix has no battery to charge and no plumbing to service. It ships with a pre-installed cartridge, which you replace every 12 months. Because electrolysis happens in a separate chamber, your drinking water never directly contacts the electrodes, and the solid titanium electrodes have no plating and no coating to wear off. Rinse the pitcher after use and keep the base clean. That's the routine.

Choosing the Right Water Hydrogen System

If you're comparing hydrogen water machine options, ask three questions: Does the maker publish purity testing by an accredited lab? What are the electrodes made of, and is there a mill certificate? What does the warranty cover and for how long? Many hydrogen gas machine sellers avoid these specifics. The Hydrofix answers all three. Designed, manufactured and assembled in Japan. Solid, high-purity titanium-platinum electrodes, mill-certified to JIS TP270C. JFRL purity testing. UL/CSA product-safety compliance and Japan PSE certification. A 12-month warranty. Built to the standard we'd accept for our own families. See the documents on our certifications page.

Countertop Machine vs Hydrogen Water Bottle

The Hydrofix is a countertop machine, not a bottle, and it is not portable: it plugs into the wall and has no battery. That's the trade-off. A bottle travels. A countertop machine makes a full 1.5 L pitcher at a time and adds hydrogen gas inhalation through the included lid and cannula. If you drink hydrogen water daily at home, a dedicated water generator makes more sense. If you need something for travel, a bottle may be the better fit as a secondary option. We compare both in hydrogen water bottle vs machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a Hydrogen Water Generator Change the pH of My Water?

Not the Hydrofix. Molecular hydrogen is a neutral gas, and the Hydrofix dissolves it without altering pH or mineral content. The water that comes out stays within ±0.1 pH of the water you put in. That is the main difference from an ionizer, which is built to shift pH.

Are Hydrogen Generators Worth It?

If you're already buying pre-made hydrogen water, consider what you're getting: hydrogen escapes from water over time, which is why fresh matters. A dedicated hydrogen water generator makes fresh water at home, up to approximately 1.6 ppm, with no plumbing and no installation. Worth it depends on whether you'll use it daily. The suggested use is 1–2 pitchers a day, plus a 30-minute inhalation session if you use the inhalation kit.

What Is Actually in Hydrogen Water?

Hydrogen water from the Hydrofix is the water you poured in with molecular hydrogen dissolved in it; nothing is added to the mineral content and the pH stays within ±0.1. We don't make health claims about it, in either direction. Molecular hydrogen is being studied in a growing number of published studies; see our research library. If you have a health concern or take medication, talk to your doctor before changing your routine.
