Collection: Hydrogen Water Machine

Every hydrogen water machine we offer uses separate-chamber electrolysis to generate high-purity molecular hydrogen without contaminants. Built in Japan, tested in our lab, backed by our one-year warranty.

What a Hydrogen Water Machine Does

A hydrogen water machine uses electrolysis to dissolve molecular hydrogen gas into water. The process splits water molecules, generating hydrogen that dissolves into the water you drink. Not all machines work the same way. The Lourdes Hydrofix uses separate-chamber electrolysis: hydrogen is produced in its own chamber, so your drinking water never directly contacts the electrodes. You pour in water, press start, and get hydrogen-rich water in the 1.5 L pitcher. When choosing the best hydrogen water machine, concentration matters most. The Hydrofix produces up to approximately 1.6 ppm dissolved hydrogen, and every unit ships with its own hydrogen concentration certificate from factory testing in Japan. The Hydrofix doesn't change your water's pH or add minerals: the water stays pH neutral, within ±0.1 of the source water. What it does is dissolve molecular hydrogen at a concentration you can verify.

How Dual Chamber Electrolysis Works

Many hydrogen water machines run electrolysis directly in the water you drink. The Hydrofix separates the two. Electrolysis happens in its own chamber, built around solid titanium electrodes and a Japanese-made multi-layer fiber-reinforced polymer membrane. The hydrogen is then dissolved into the pitcher water in very fine bubbles. The result is water with dissolved molecular hydrogen, a pH that stays within ±0.1 of your source water, and improved ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) results, which you can see on our certifications page. The Hydrofix is designed, manufactured and assembled in Japan with Japanese-made parts. It is the kind of hydrogen production we'd want for our own families.

Hydrogen Gas Concentration and Testing

Concentration determines whether your hydrogen water machine actually delivers molecular hydrogen or just makes bubbles. Dissolved hydrogen is measured in parts per million. The Hydrofix produces up to approximately 1.6 ppm (±0.05 ppm), which the product page calls full saturation. We don't ask you to trust marketing claims. Every unit is tested individually at the factory in Japan before shipping and comes with a hydrogen concentration certificate tied to that unit. Hydrogen is the smallest molecule there is, so it escapes from water quickly. That's why the Hydrofix generates fresh hydrogen-rich water on demand rather than trying to bottle and store it. Drink it fresh for the highest concentration.

Hydrogen Water Machines vs Water Ionizers

The Hydrofix is not a water ionizer. Water ionizers change your water's pH through electrolysis, with alkaline water as the primary goal, and hydrogen is often a secondary effect. A dedicated hydrogen water machine focuses on dissolving molecular hydrogen without altering pH or adding minerals. The Hydrofix keeps pH neutral, within ±0.1 of the source water, and dissolves hydrogen through separate-chamber electrolysis. If you want molecular hydrogen, a purpose-built hydrogen machine gives you a documented concentration. Ionizers serve a different purpose. We compare the two in hydrogen water vs alkaline water.

Why Separate Chambers Matter for Purity

When electrolysis runs in the same water you drink, the electrodes and everything that forms at them are in contact with your water. Separate-chamber electrolysis keeps the electrodes out of the pitcher: hydrogen is produced in its own chamber and dissolved into the water as very fine bubbles, so your drinking water never directly contacts the electrodes. The membrane is a Japanese-made multi-layer fiber-reinforced polymer. Purity isn't a slogan here. Japan Food Research Laboratories (JFRL), an accredited Japanese lab, tested the water produced by the Hydrofix: selected plasticizers (phthalates DEHP, DINP, DIDP), BPA, iron and titanium were not detected under test conditions. It is the only kind of machine we'd put in our own homes.

Hydrogen Inhalation and Dual-Function Systems

Some hydrogen water machines also produce hydrogen gas for inhalation. The Lourdes Hydrofix Premium Edition does both. You can generate hydrogen-rich water for drinking, or fit the included inhalation lid and cannula and breathe molecular hydrogen directly. The product spec for gas output is 120 mL/min. Masa International Corp. independently measured it at 134.2 mL/min (Test No. MM03-6024-01, May 2025), and Prof. Katsuhiko Nakamuro, Professor Emeritus at Setsunan University, reviewed the test report on September 5, 2025. The machine uses the same separate-chamber electrolysis for both functions. One machine, two delivery methods, same engineering standard.

Inhalation Mode and Concentration Levels

For inhalation, you fit the inhalation lid, attach the 2 m Premium H₂ Cannula, and run the machine. Hydrogen gas flows through the cannula at around 120 mL/min. The suggested use is a 30-minute session. The machine handles gas generation automatically. You don't need separate equipment or complicated setup. It's the same machine, same water, same electrolysis chamber, with a different output. Dr. Akihiko Adachi, MD, PhD, a neurosurgeon and Deputy Director of Neurosurgery at Narita Red Cross Hospital, recommends the Hydrofix as a hydrogen gas inhaler because of its gas output and purity. Read his statement on our certifications page.

Japanese Engineering and Manufacturing Standards

The Hydrofix is designed, manufactured and assembled in Japan, with Japanese-made parts, because that is the standard we want for our own families. Every unit is hand-built and factory-tested in Japan before it ships. The electronic and electrode components are made in ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 certified factories. The machine carries UL/CSA product-safety compliance and Japan PSE (Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law) certification. When you're building a machine that produces something you'll drink or breathe every day, manufacturing standards aren't a minor detail. They're a core part of the product.

Material Quality and Component Sourcing

The membrane is a Japanese-made multi-layer fiber-reinforced polymer. The electrodes are solid titanium, 99.928% pure, mill-certified to JIS TP270C, with the platinum catalyst bonded at the molecular level through high-temperature processing. There is no plating and no coating to wear off. The pitcher is Japanese-made and BPA- and BPHF-free. We don't claim materials we can't document; the mill certificate and the JFRL report are on our certifications page. We chose this machine by asking one question: would we use it for our own children?

Real Hydrogen Water vs Other Ways to Get It

Hydrogen tablets dissolve in water and release hydrogen through a chemical reaction, usually magnesium reacting with water. They're convenient for travel, but the concentration depends on the tablet and how you use it, and the reaction adds its own byproducts to your glass. A hydrogen water machine generates fresh hydrogen through electrolysis every time you use it. You control the water source and the timing, and the Hydrofix adds nothing to the water but hydrogen: pH stays within ±0.1 of the source. Tablets work for travel. A machine works for daily use at home where you want consistent results and full control over water quality. The Hydrofix is for people who want both purity and repeatability.

How to Get Real Hydrogen Water

Real hydrogen water contains dissolved molecular hydrogen at a measurable concentration and is consumed fresh. Hydrogen is the smallest molecule, and it escapes from water over time, which is why pre-made bottled hydrogen water may have lost some of it by the time you drink it. To get real hydrogen water, generate it fresh. That means a hydrogen water machine at home, or tablets when you're traveling. The Hydrofix produces water with up to approximately 1.6 ppm dissolved hydrogen, and each unit ships with a factory concentration certificate tied to that specific machine. We don't ask you to trust the marketing. We give you the documentation.

Hydrogen Water in a Daily Routine

People fit hydrogen water into their day in different ways. We don't make health claims about what it does. Molecular hydrogen is being studied in a growing number of published studies, and you can read about that in our research library. What we can tell you is how the machine fits a routine. The suggested use is 1–2 pitchers of hydrogen water a day, plus a 30-minute inhalation session if you use the inhalation kit. It's one part of a routine, and the machine is built so the routine is easy to keep.

Consistent Use Is the Easy Part

The Hydrofix is built for daily use. You might run a pitcher first thing in the morning and a second one later in the day. Fill the 1.5 L pitcher, press start, and the machine does the rest, so you can time it however your schedule works. It fits into your existing routine instead of demanding a new one. Just water, a short cycle, and a glass of hydrogen-rich water when you want it.

Hydrogen Water Machine for Home Use

The Hydrofix sits on your counter and plugs into a standard outlet through the included universal AC/DC adapter (100–240V, 50/60 Hz). You don't need plumbing modifications or permanent installation. It is a countertop machine, not a bottle, and it is not portable: there is no battery. Pour in water, select your mode, and wait for the cycle to complete. It measures 276 mm wide, 289 mm tall and 147 mm deep (10.87" × 11.38" × 5.79") and weighs 1.75 kg (3.86 lb), compact enough for most kitchens. Maintenance means rinsing the pitcher and replacing the cartridge every 12 months. A 12-month warranty is included. There is no complicated system to manage. You're just making hydrogen water whenever you want it.

What Every Lifestyle Needs from a Water Machine

You need a machine that works when you need it, doesn't require constant attention, and produces consistent results. The Hydrofix does all three. The controls are simple. The output is documented: up to approximately 1.6 ppm dissolved hydrogen, certified per unit at the factory. It works with tap, well, filtered, mineral, spring, alkaline, reverse osmosis or distilled water, but not saltwater or seawater. It isn't the flashiest hydrogen water machine on the market. It is the one we'd trust in our own homes. That's a higher standard.

Why Holy Hydrogen Sells This Machine

Holy Hydrogen sells the Hydrofix because it meets a standard we can document, not just describe. Every machine is built to the same bar: good enough for our own families. It is made in Japan, tested per unit at the factory, and backed by third-party paperwork: JFRL purity testing, an independent gas-output measurement, a titanium mill certificate, UL/CSA and PSE compliance. We don't claim we're better than everyone else. We show you how it is built and let you decide if it matches what you need. If you want a hydrogen water machine that prioritizes purity, transparency, and engineering integrity, this is the one we chose.

See How We Test for Purity

Every unit is tested individually at the factory in Japan and ships with its own hydrogen concentration certificate. The water the Hydrofix produces was tested by Japan Food Research Laboratories (Certificate No. 2302B7007001-0201, May 16, 2023): selected plasticizers, BPA, iron and titanium were not detected under test conditions, and the water meets Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare drinking-water quality standards. The certifications page also shows ORP results and the gas-output test. We're not hiding behind proprietary formulas or asking you to trust marketing language. If you're the kind of person who reads spec sheets and checks references before buying, you'll appreciate the paper trail. See it all on our certifications page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a Hydrogen Water Machine Change the pH of My Water?

Not the Hydrofix. It adds dissolved molecular hydrogen and leaves everything else alone. The water that comes out stays within ±0.1 pH of the water you put in, and the mineral content is unchanged. The Hydrofix is not an ionizer; ionizers change pH, and that is a different product. If your doctor has given you specific guidance about water intake or filtration, follow that guidance; the Hydrofix doesn't filter your water, so pair it with whatever filtration you already use.

What Is Actually in Hydrogen Water?

Hydrogen water from the Hydrofix is the water you poured in with molecular hydrogen dissolved in it; nothing is added to the mineral content and the pH stays within ±0.1. We don't make health claims about it, in either direction. Molecular hydrogen is being studied in a growing number of published studies; see our research library and read the studies yourself. If you have a health concern or take medication, talk to your doctor before changing your water or your routine.

What Does a Hydrogen Water Machine Do?

A hydrogen water machine uses electrolysis to split water molecules and generate molecular hydrogen gas, which then dissolves into the water. You drink the hydrogen-rich water fresh to get the full concentration. The machine doesn't filter your water or change its pH. It adds molecular hydrogen. You start with the water you already drink, run the electrolysis cycle, and end up with water that contains dissolved hydrogen at a measurable concentration. The quality of the machine determines the purity and concentration of the hydrogen you get.

How to Get Real Hydrogen Water?

Real hydrogen water must be generated fresh because molecular hydrogen escapes from water over time. You can use a hydrogen water machine at home for daily use or hydrogen tablets when traveling. With the Hydrofix, you know what you're getting: each unit is tested at the factory in Japan and ships with its own hydrogen concentration certificate, and the water it produces was purity-tested by an accredited lab. Fresh generation is the only reliable way to get consistent molecular hydrogen levels.

Our hydrogen water machine uses the same separate-chamber electrolysis we'd use in our own homes. We offer a Japanese-made hydrogen water machine with lab-tested purity and a 12-month warranty. Get the Hydrofix, or see the full test documents on our certifications page.
