Collection: Hydrogen Water Maker

A hydrogen water maker uses electrolysis to infuse drinking water with molecular hydrogen gas. We engineer countertop systems in Japan that generate verified hydrogen-rich water for daily wellness routines.

How a Hydrogen Water Maker Works

A hydrogen water maker uses electrolysis to split water molecules and dissolve molecular hydrogen gas into your drinking water. The process separates hydrogen from oxygen, then dissolves the hydrogen into the water you drink. In a single-chamber design, all of that happens in the drinking water itself. The Lourdes Hydrofix Premium Edition uses separate (dual-) chamber electrolysis: the electrolysis stays in its own chamber, so your drinking water never directly contacts the electrodes, and the water's pH stays within ±0.1 of the source. It is also not an ionizer; ionizers change pH, and the Hydrofix doesn't.

Dual-Chamber Electrolysis Explained

Our hydrogen water machine moves the electrolysis into a separate chamber, built around a Japanese-made multi-layer fiber-reinforced polymer membrane. The hydrogen is dissolved into the pitcher water in very fine bubbles. This matters because the electrodes are not sitting in the water you drink. The result is molecular hydrogen water at up to approximately 1.6 ppm (±0.05 ppm), and every unit is individually tested at the factory in Japan and ships with its own hydrogen concentration certificate.

Countertop Hydrogen Systems vs. Pitcher Filters

A pitcher with a hydrogen stick relies on a magnesium reaction and gives you no certificate for what you're getting. Countertop hydrogen water machines use active electrolysis with a dedicated power supply. The Hydrofix makes a full 1.5 L pitcher per batch, rated up to approximately 1.6 ppm. No installation required. No connection to your RO system or existing water purifier. Plug it into the wall through its universal AC/DC adapter and add water: tap, well, filtered, mineral, spring, alkaline, reverse osmosis or distilled. Not saltwater or seawater.

What to Look for in Hydrogen Water Machines

Most hydrogen water maker reviews focus on ppm levels and electrode materials. Those matter, but chamber design decides whether the electrodes touch your drinking water, and that is the first thing to check. Look for separate-chamber construction, solid titanium-platinum electrodes with no plating and no coating, and purity testing by an accredited laboratory that you can read. Commercial systems often require professional installation; for home use, a well-built countertop system gives you hydrogen water and inhalation without the complexity.

Hydrogen Concentration and Daily Use

Our best hydrogen water maker produces dissolved hydrogen up to approximately 1.6 ppm (±0.05 ppm), which the product page calls full saturation. You'll see higher ppm claims from some sellers, but a number means little without knowing who measured it and on which unit. The Hydrofix figure comes with a per-unit certificate from the factory in Japan. Dissolved hydrogen leaves water over time once it's open to the air, so drink it soon after you make it. We suggest 1–2 pitchers a day, plus a 30-minute inhalation session if you use the included kit.

Materials and Manufacturing Standards

The Hydrofix is designed, manufactured and assembled in Japan with Japanese-made parts. The pitcher is Japanese-made and BPA- and BPHF-free. The electrodes are solid titanium, 99.928% pure and mill-certified to JIS TP270C (mill certificate Feb 28, 2018), with the platinum catalyst bonded at the molecular level through high-temperature processing; there is no plating and no coating to wear off. Electronic and electrode components come from ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 certified factories. Every unit is individually tested at the factory before it ships. Purity was tested by Japan Food Research Laboratories (JFRL), an accredited Japanese laboratory (Certificate No. 2302B7007001-0201, May 16, 2023): selected plasticizers (DEHP, DINP, DIDP), BPA, iron and titanium were not detected in the water the Hydrofix produces, under test conditions. That is the paperwork, and you can read it.

Why We Sell This Hydrogen Water Machine

Holy Hydrogen sells the Lourdes Hydrofix Premium Edition because it is the hydrogen water maker whose claims we could check. Plenty of sellers won't show you chamber designs, material certificates or test reports beyond vague claims about "advanced technology." The Hydrofix comes with a titanium mill certificate, an accredited-lab purity test, an independent gas-output measurement, UL/CSA product-safety compliance and Japan PSE certification, all published on our certifications page. We wanted to know exactly what was inside the machine and what touches the water. Now you can too.

One-Year Warranty and Direct Support

Every hydrogen water maker we sell includes a 12-month warranty. If you have questions about chamber design, electrode materials, testing or routine use, contact us and we'll answer them directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can You Make Your Own Hydrogen Water?

Yes. You can make hydrogen water at home with an electrolysis-based hydrogen water machine, a hydrogen water bottle with a built-in generator, or hydrogen sticks and magnesium tablets. A dedicated countertop system gives you a full pitcher per batch and, in the Hydrofix's case, a measured concentration figure for your unit. If you go the DIY electrolysis route, check whether the electrodes sit in the water you drink; that is the question separate-chamber design answers.

What Is Actually in Hydrogen Water?

Hydrogen water from the Hydrofix is your source water with dissolved molecular hydrogen and the same pH, within ±0.1. Electrolysis adds nothing else. We don't make claims about effects in either direction. Molecular hydrogen is being studied in a growing number of published studies; see our research library. If you have questions about your own situation, ask your doctor.

Does the Hydrofix Do Hydrogen Gas Inhalation Too?

Yes. The box includes an inhalation lid and a 2 m premium H₂ cannula (a free kit, a $99 value). Gas output is 120 mL/min as the spec, independently measured at 134.2 mL/min by Masa International Corp., Kyoto, Japan (Test No. MM03-6024-01, May 2025); Prof. Katsuhiko Nakamuro (Professor Emeritus, Setsunan University; Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences) reviewed the report on September 5, 2025. Dr. Akihiko Adachi, MD, PhD, a neurosurgeon (Deputy Director of Neurosurgery, Narita Red Cross Hospital), recommends it as a hydrogen gas inhaler because of its gas output and purity.

Can I Take the Hydrofix Traveling?

Not really. The Hydrofix is not portable: it is a countertop pitcher-style machine with no battery, 276 mm × 289 mm × 147 mm and 1.75 kg (3.86 lb), that plugs into the wall through a universal adapter (100–240V, 50/60 Hz). If you need something for a bag, a bottle is the right format. If you want a full 1.5 L pitcher plus inhalation at home, this is. The trade-off in detail: hydrogen water bottle vs. machine.

See How We Test for Purity

We publish the JFRL purity certificate, the Masa International gas-output test, the electrode mill certificate and the product-safety compliance documents on our certifications page. You can review them before you buy. Each unit ships with its own hydrogen concentration certificate tied to that unit, along with a certificate of authenticity. Transparency isn't optional when you're asking someone to trust what they drink. Get the Hydrofix, or compare the engineering details first.
