From Careful Research to a Daily Practice: How Deborah Lord Chose the Lourdes Hydrofix After Comparing Her Options

A morning built around wellness

An hour and a half of hydrogen, woven into meditation

Most mornings, Deborah Lord settles in for a couple of hours of meditation. A heating pad rests beside her, a red light therapy pad lies across her belly, and the Lourdes Hydrofix hums quietly beside her as she breathes hydrogen in.

"I use the Lourdes Hydrogen machine usually each morning for an hour and a half while I'm meditating, because that's a part of my routine," she says. Afterward, she'll sometimes drink some of the water while taking her morning supplements.

A year ago, this practice didn't exist. Deborah was doing what she has always done, researching. As someone deeply engaged with her own health, she was open to new ideas that might help. Hydrogen was one of those ideas. "I'm an action-oriented person," she says, "so when I find something, I try to make it happen." What turned curiosity into a daily habit was a careful evaluation of her options and a decision she says she had already made in her heart before a friend stepped in to make it possible.

The search for something non-toxic and affordable

"I also had to be sure that there was no toxic materials"

Deborah describes herself plainly: "I'm a person who does a lot of research myself into the health field." That research instinct shaped everything about how she approached hydrogen.

Her introduction came through a genetic testing course. The instructor teaching the course brought up the concept of breathing and drinking hydrogen. He was also selling a machine, one that cost, in her words, quite a few thousands of dollars, which she felt was out of her price range. So she began looking at what else was out there.

Two things mattered most. The first was cost. The second, and just as important, was safety of materials. As Deborah puts it, "I ended up choosing based on two things. One was the price, but not only, because I also had to be sure that there was no toxic materials that would make an impact negatively on my health."

That concern was practical and specific. "The quality of the metal that's used in it is really important, and I discovered that early on," she says. She knew right away that she had to make sure the components were quality. For a researcher like Deborah, purity of components wasn't a nice-to-have. It was the starting point.

Comparing machines, not bottles

A long phone call with someone who owned both

Deborah didn't waste time on shortcuts. She went straight to comparing machines rather than looking at tablets or portable bottles, because inhalation was central to why she was interested in the first place. The instructor had told her, in her recollection, that breathing hydrogen mattered, and that guided her whole search.

She weighed the instructor's expensive model against a machine her friend had owned for several years, which she found was also more expensive than the Lourdes. On the question of materials, she was honest about where she stood: "I just had to believe that the literature that the company puts out is truthful." She wasn't content to leave it there. So she went looking for someone who had actually used both.

"I somehow stumbled upon a woman who had both the machine that the teacher was suggesting and also had the Lourdes machine, and I talked to her at length," Deborah recalls. "I somehow was able to get her phone number, and I had quite a conversation." Having used both for years, the woman offered exactly the kind of firsthand comparison a researcher trusts. She told Deborah that while the other machine was very good, "the Lourdes machine was also easier to maintain. And I'm not a technology person. I'm not somebody who likes to mess with a lot of machinery or computers or any of that sort of thing."

That detail landed. Less expensive, still quality, and easier to operate, as Deborah says, "that made a big difference."

Setup was easy, and stayed that way

"This whole year, it has been easy"

The main thing standing between Deborah and the machine was cost. "Just the money. Just the money, 'cause it's expensive," she says candidly. She had resolved to save up if she had to, because, as she put it, she figured she'd find a way if she found the right product. Her decision was already firm: "I had already decided that the Lourdes Machine is the one I would buy."

Then a friend offered to purchase it for her. He had owned a hydrogen machine of his own for several years, a more expensive one, and he bought her the Lourdes. That made it possible for her to begin far sooner than saving alone would have allowed.

When the machine arrived, getting started matched what she'd hoped for. "It was pretty easy, really," Deborah remembers. "I took it out of the boxing, and there were instructions, easy enough." She called the phone number provided to ask a couple of questions, then began the very next morning.

A full year later, that ease has held. "So far, this whole year, it has been easy," she says. "It just works each day." She understands maintenance may eventually be needed, and she's prepared for it. If the machine ever needed service, she says, "probably I'd have to drive it there into another county. But I will be willing to do that." So far the Hydrofix has simply become part of her morning, inhalation every day during meditation and hydrogen water alongside her supplements.

A general good feeling

Value measured in confidence, not concrete numbers

For Deborah, the value of the Lourdes Hydrofix isn't captured in figures. She didn't set out chasing an instant change, and she doesn't claim one. "It's more of a general good feeling overall," she says, describing herself as someone who notices the subtle influences of the many things she does for her wellness. She also went in with realistic expectations, understanding that hydrogen was something that would take time, that it could be a long-term process rather than an overnight shift.

A year in, she's still learning and refining. Recently, after listening to a podcast about drinking hydrogen water, she thought, "Well, I should be more regular about the drinking of it." She's consistent with the breathing, and now she's leaning further into the water too, a research-driven optimizer continuing to optimize.

An important tool for this day and age

"I would do it again"

Asked whether she'd make the same choice again, Deborah doesn't hesitate. "Yes, I would do it again because I feel like I'm in a process with my health," she says. "I care about my health, and I feel like the hydrogen machine is an important part of that." If it disappeared from her counter tomorrow, she says she'd find a way to get it back, calling it "an important tool for this day and age that we live in."

Her advice to others echoes the very logic that guided her own search, quality first, then price. "I recommend it," she says, "and that after doing research, I actually think that the Lourdes machine is a really good way to go because it has both the quality, and it's not as expensive as some of the others that also have quality."

Asked if there was anything she'd want a fellow researcher to hear that hadn't come up, she kept it simple. "I have a really good feeling about using it every day."
