Our Story: Birth of a Miracle
"The development of the Lourdes Hydrofix began after my daughter was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)—also known as Werdnig-Hoffmann disease—a severely disabling and in some forms fatal disease—with a life-expectancy of no more than two years in some cases. Our struggle inspired the creation of the Lourdes Hydrofix—a device with the ability to offer relief and hope to other families suffering similarly.
When I learned of my daughter's illness, I repeatedly asked God to show me the meaning of her life. She was born with an incurable disease and would likely die quietly without leaving behind any proof that she had ever lived. Perhaps my daughter was born to bring hope and encouragement to all those who struggle as a result of similar illnesses. Hence, my daughter’s life and the birth of the Lourdes Hydrofix are inextricably entwined—a testament to and achievement of her life—both being indisputable miracles.

Takashi Tanioka graduated from Kobe University Graduate School and joined Kobe Steel, Ltd., where he engaged in chemical plant engineering and research and development of inorganic material synthesis and utilization technology. In 1994, he participated in research and development and commercialization of ozone gas generators and ozone water generators. An “electrolysis technology specialist,” Takashi devotes himself to research and development of hydrogen water and hydrogen gas generators, as well as clinical trials of their effects on the human body. He has submitted 55 patent applications, and received 16 patents.

This approach reflects not just our dedication to uniqueness, but a personal standard: "Would I feel confident using this if my family were ill?" By harnessing Japanese engineering excellence, both Lourdes Hydrofix and Kijazu achieve unmatched quality and safety in hydrogen purity, reliability, and longevity.
3. Commitment to Truth
In November 2016, Japan's Consumer Affairs Agency issued corrective orders to numerous hydrogen product businesses for misleading claims, damaging industry credibility and forcing many manufacturers out of business. The agency revealed that performance specifications on most products were merely "theoretical values"—a practice that unfortunately continues today, alongside "pseudoscience" marketing and dismissing quality concerns as "individual differences."
Hydrogen's invisibility makes consumer deception easy, while the common nature of electrolysis technology tempts cost-cutting at the expense of quality and safety. However, such practices ultimately lead to industry failure.
Since 2015, Lourdes Hydrofix has earned global trust through collaborative efforts between universities, medical institutions, and specialists in hydrogen, electrolysis, electrical engineering, and water purification. Together with Japanese component manufacturers, we've pursued truth with one mission: bringing smiles to as many faces as possible.
4. Commitment to Continuous Improvement
Since 2016, we've upgraded Lourdes Hydrofix annually through technological advancements. Additionally, we've implemented 12 unpublicized improvements to Lourdes Hydrofix based on component refinements and customer feedback.
This commitment to excellence requires seamless coordination between our customer service team, who reliably gather user insights; our sales partners, who attentively listen to customer needs; and our Japanese component manufacturers, who support our endless pursuit of perfection.
